LETTER FORMATION

See where the letter starts and how it moves.

Watch each stroke take shape. Pause, replay and slow the moment down so your child can look before they put pencil to paper. Explore letter formation.

PERSONAL PRACTICE

Their name is a wonderful place to begin.

Turn names, favourite animals and little sentences into handwriting activities. Familiar words make each practice moment feel like it belongs to them. See personal practice.

THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF HELP

Trace. Copy. Then leave room to try.

Choose the support that fits today. Move from tracing to copying to independent writing without changing the words or the routine. Explore printable practice.

A FAMILIAR SCHOOL STYLE

Keep home practice on the same page as school.

Choose the Australian handwriting style your child already sees in class, so the letter shapes feel familiar wherever they practise. Explore school styles.

MADE FOR THE KITCHEN TABLE

A familiar way to help, without turning home into school.

Start with a clear example, choose something meaningful to write and leave plenty of room for a child to have a go.

A LITTLE, OFTEN

A calm four-step routine for your next practice moment.

There is no score to chase. Just a clear model, a useful word and another chance to try.

PAPER STILL MATTERS

The screen shows the movement. Their hand does the learning.

Handwriting Boost makes letter formation easier to see, then helps you carry the same activity onto paper. Children are not asked to write on a screen or have their handwriting scored.

Talk to our team
Is this designed for parents or teachers?

Both. Parents can create simple home activities, while teachers can model letters, prepare classroom practice and share activities. Choose the account context that fits where you are using it.

Can I use the same handwriting style as our school?

Yes. Handwriting Boost includes Australian beginner styles for Queensland, NSW and ACT, Victoria, WA and NT, South Australia, and Tasmania, with cursive options available in the app.

Does my child have to write on a screen?

No. The screen demonstrates letter formation. You can then print tracing, copying or independent practice for pencil-and-paper use.

Can we practise a child’s own name?

Yes. You can make activities from names, familiar words and short sentences, then choose the school style, line size and amount of support.
